Curly Curls and Wavy Waves.
Almost a bit of wet-look going on, it has been a while since wet-look was with us. Mid-Eighties is the last time wet-look and its cousin back-perm ruled the roost, can you remember which came first? We think it was the back perm but if you remember the 80's you weren't there.
A bit of a blonde shag hairstyle here with bed head undertones going on. Rough bangs and highlights complement each other.
A vivid blonde color. Hair coloring and bleaching can provoke adverse effects on hair but potentially the scalp, the skin around the hairline, and even the fingers. The finger damage is easily prevented by wearing rubber gloves. The skin around the hairline can be protected by the application of Vaseline or other barrier products. The scalp is more difficult, try using an intensive conditioner a lot during the days before your appointment and on the day before, leave it on for a few hours, this may give your hair and scalp that touch of extra protection.
The resins in hairsprays, especially modern ones, are manipulated in different ways, a skillful chemist will choose the resin carefully. Plasticizers can be used if the resin is too stiff. Plasticizers are chemicals that when mixed with the resin produces a more flexible finished product.
Natural Curl Alignment
The great thing about waves is their versatility and ability to transform into something new and different. Let your waves transform you into a short-haired beauty by letting them align naturally.
These curls are encouraged into place by applying a setting agent. A spray will work to an extent but a product applied on wet or damp hair is more effective. Gels and mousses will coat the strands evenly, setting in place when dry.
Vintage and Classic
This sultry throwback is reminiscent of an era long gone, yet it's equally fresh and significantly different from the old style that wore out nearly a century ago. Maybe it's the color or maybe it's the curled up front-bang, no matter, you'll have to be brave to adopt the swirly makeup too.
Continuing with vintage-inspiration, here's a classic updo that combines waves and pins for a unique work of art. The colors of honey, molasses, and truffles are particularly effective and deliciously pretty!
Looking for a style that embraces your love for everything vintage? Give this idea a try! The soft rings of curl remind us of a bygone era, Anne of Green Gables and when times were less hectic. If time travel isn't an option, turn your style back in time with this vintage classic. Allure and charm, as well as vintage beauty!
Good enough to eat
Loose masses of curl give life to a potentially boring cut but nothing is boring here! These curls look like they are spilling over her head like a bowl of melted chocolate that you're waiting to eat hungrily with your fingers. Back to the flowing curls, don't overuse hair products that weigh it down and freeze it into place, the real charm comes from the loose feel.
Getting perfect curls is, without doubt, challenging but this simple example proves it's possible and blown out of the ballpark too! Try misting your curls with a conditioning spray while damp. Create the defined part down the middle with a comb. Then begin sectioning off small pieces and spiral twist them to help form the tight corkscrew curls seen in the picture. The not-so-serious, makeup creates a playfulness that we adore.
